I read last week that the GOP candidate for the 11th Congressional District said his views on social issues are “irrelevant.” Since Keith Fimian is on the board of directors of Legatus, a very conservative organization, I believe the voters in the 11th District need to know precisely what his views on social issues are.Do his professed “pro-life” views prohibit abortion even when the life of the mother is at stake? In cases of rape? Would his views cause him to vote against stem cell research which forecasts so much hope for anti-immune diseases and spinal injuries, among other conditions? What about contraception?
Health insurance is one of the chief problems facing the next Congress. Mr. Fimian’s views on social issues could matter very much. The voters of the 11th District need to be fully informed.
