The following is a list of upcoming productions and auditions in the Fairfax-Louodun area.


Productions

'Oklahoma!' Through Aug. 10, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. Potomac Falls High School, Sterling. The Sterling Playmakers present Rodgers and Hammerstein's “Oklahoma!” 703-437-6117 or www.sterlingplaymakers.com.

'Beauty and the Beast.' Aug. 1-2 at 7:30 p.m.; Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. Chantilly High School, 4201 Stringfellow Road. The Alliance Theatre of Chantilly presents this musical with a cast of 40 children and 50 adults. are $16/adults, $12/children 12 and under for Friday show; $20/adults, $16/children for Saturday and Sunday shows. 'Tick, Tick ... Boom.' Aug 1-2, 8-9, 14-16, 21-23 at 8 p.m.; Aug. 3 and 10 at 3 p.m.; Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. Industrial Strength Theater, 209 Sunset Park Drive, Herndon. 'The Winter's Tale.' Friday, Aug. 1; doors open at 5:30 p.m., the play begins at 7 p.m. The Madeira School's amphitheater, 8328 Georgetown Pike, McLean. The Traveling Players Ensemble presents this play by William Shakespeare.

'Cheaper by the Dozen.' Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 7-9, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. Plymouth Haven Baptist Church, 8523 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria. Morningstar Productions presents this family-friendly show appropriate for all audiences. Admission at the door: $7/adult, $4/child/student/senior ($25 maximum admission fee per family unit). Theater anniversary

Springfield Community Theatre celebrates its 50th anniversary on Nov. 21 at the Springfield Country Club on Old Keene Mill Road. This event will include food, entertainment, pictures and memorabilia from past SCT productions, door prizes and a silent auction. The cost is $50.

Auditions

Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra. This chamber orchestra in Woodbridge is looking for brass and string players. Laurel, laurel@obco.org or 703-966-1756.


Master Singers. The Master Singers of Virginia, directed by Erik Reid Jones, are looking for new members. The group is one of the premier a cappella choral ensembles in Northern Virginia, concentrating on 20th- and 21st-century choral music. The Master Singers perform engagements throughout Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C., area.

This season's concert series includes Benjamin Britten's "A Boy Was Born," Francis Poulenc's "Mass in G Major," William Byrd's "Mass for Five Voices," and Shakespeare songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Frank Martin and Jaakko Mantyjarvi.
