HELP SAVE A LIFE

Did you know that every 2 seconds, someone in our region receives blood and approximately 95% off the population will need blood during their lifetime?
The American Red Cross in partnership with Karen Brown and the Nilsen Team of Long and Foster Realtors and the North Point Fire Station in Herndon are asking for your time and donation as our nation's blood supply is at an all-time low.
You can show your support for US troops and your fellow citizens in need by participating in their 1st annual Blood Drive. The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 10am to 4pm at the firehouse located at 1117 Reston Avenue, Herndon, VA 20170.
This event will be held in conjunction with North Point Fire Station’s annual Fire Prevention Open House and will include lots of activities, food and family fun. There will be tours of the Fire House & Equipment, “SmokeHouse” Demonstrations, a Moon Bounce, Face Painting and much more.
"We are pulling together to make this event a success and show our support in this time of need for something as simple as blood. Sponsors including Cantina D'Italia, RGS Title, SunTrust Mortgage, DryHome Roofing and Siding, A&A Painting and BF SAUL/Chevy Chase Bank have all donated their time and resources to help us give back to the community which we all serve." said Karen Brown. "We need people to commit just 15 minutes of their time to donate blood."
